The Ignite soccer program has been a raging success with bucket loads of fun had by all. The 18 student-athletes have been part of a 15-week program that was designed to improve the 4 core skills of soccer which include running with the ball, first touch, striking the ball and 1v1 (attacking and defending). The overall improvement of the entire group has been outstanding with many of our players going on to represent the local region in state championships and SAPSASA. Over the last few weeks of the program, the Ignite program played exhibition games at lunch time with parents, teachers and friends all invited to watch the spectacle. This opportunity to play showcase games in front of a big crowd was a real highlight for the student-athletes. The games were played in great spirits and were highly competitive matches, which also included running commentary from the one and only Scott Dickson. As the coach, I would like to thank all the parents and students for their continued support and effort throughout the program which I have thoroughly enjoyed being a part of. Dream, Believe, Achieve.
